Manchester Homelessness

I wrote a piece for Vice, about the problems Manchester has with the homeless community. There’s a lack of funding, and a number of quotes didn’t make the final piece.

I spoke to one homeless lady who said, regarding the money she gets, has to go on hostels rather than food, because it is too dangerous to sleep rough sometimes. That, of course, is backed by one homeless man being burned alive in his tent.

Manchester City Council are struggling with a lack of funding, and there’s been some poor decisions made (from the outside looking in). Anyway, if you’re interested in the piece, here’s a link.
